Chris Markiewicz

Chris Markiewicz (he/him) is Assistant Director of Academic Programs at the Elliott School.

In this role, Chris provides operational oversight and support for all areas of planning, administration, and delivery of the Elliott School’s 19 undergraduate and graduate degree programs. This includes curriculum development, program management, assessment and evaluation, course planning, part-time faculty affairs, strategic programs and initiatives, and academic partnerships. He also leads a team of program coordinators who support enrollment management, student advising, event coordination, website management, budgeting, and expenses for the Elliott School’s degree programs.

Chris holds an M.Ed. in Educational Policy, Planning, and Leadership from the College of William & Mary, and a B.A. in Psychology and Philosophy from Salisbury University. He is a native of Ocean City, MD, and lives in northeast D.C. with his wife and dog.
